We will be providing a free coach service from London Heathrow airport on the 30th September; on-site WEPO staff will communicate with you regarding the departure time. Students must sign up to use this service by 25th August using this form.
If you are not traveling from Heathrow on the 30th, you may arrive at the WEPO complex between 9am and 4pm on the arrival day. You will collect your key from the Director of Administration’s office at 145 Banbury Road.
Please note that we cannot accommodate any student earlier than this date.
Permission should be obtained from the Director of Administration if you are unable to arrive during these hours for any reason.
Please also note that we are unable to accommodate any non-WEPO guests (ie. parents/friends that may have travelled with you). There are plenty of hotels and B&B’s in Summertown and Oxford, should you arrive early or if your guests need accommodation.
Once you arrive in the UK, you must pick up your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) within 10 days. This is your official visa for the duration of your stay in the UK, so it’s a very important document. Please be sure to bring your Home Office decision letter with you when you travel to the UK, as you may be asked for it at the border. This letter will also tell you to collect your BRP from either:
a named Post Office branch
your sponsor (University of Oxford), if you chose this option when you applied
Your BRP can only be collected at the named location, so be sure you check where you need to collect it. Once you have your BRP, the Director of Administration will ask for a copy/photo of it to keep on file.
You will have the opportunity to collect your BRP as a part of the orientation schedule during your arrival week.
