Laundry

WEPO provides you with bedding and towels, but it is your responsibility to launder them throughout the year. Please be sure to keep these in good condition, as charges for lost or damaged items will be made at the end of the academic year upon collection.

Personal laundry can be washed and dried in machines located on the first (middle) floor of 145 Banbury Road and the ground floor of 2 Lathbury Road. Detergents and tumble dryer sheets are provided. Both the washing machine and the dryer are smaller than many US machines and will not dry clothes properly if overloaded. The maximum capacity of the machines is 8kg (17.6 lbs), do not stuff the machines full. Please promptly remove your belongings from each machine once the cycle is completed to avoid mix-ups in the laundry room, and to allow others to use the machines. Do not use numerous machines at once, because others may need to use the facilities too. If there is anything wrong with a machine, please contact the Director of Administration directly.

To use the machines at EWH, you will need to download the AppWash by Miele app. Once in the app, you'll put one of the machine codes from the laundry room you're in into the app, and then you'll find our machines for that room. You do not need to pay for laundry, so do not load credit into the app. You should start the cycle by using the app, and then the machine will allow you to select your settings. You can see in the app when your cycle is finished, and you'll also be able to see which machines are available at any given time.

Please do not let any bleaching agents or peroxide liquids (such as hair dyes or face cleansing solutions) as well as dark substances like mascara touch the towels. Students will be charged for replacement towels if the towels are not returned in good order. Do not take college towels or bedding out of EWH (eg. for sports or whilst traveling). Ensure all bedding and towels belonging to WEPO are returned at the end of the year when you leave the UK. You will be charged for replacements if they are not returned.

Bedding: 1 x Pillow, 1 x Pillow Case, 1 x Pillow Protector, 1 x Mattress Protector, 1 x Single Fitted Bottom Sheet, 1 x Single Duvet, 1 x Single Duvet Cover
Towels: 1 x Bath Towel, 1 x Hand Towel
