Loyal employee of Grizzco Industries. Has been w/ Grizzco almost as long as it has existed. Dislikes Salmonids.

Moved to Splatsville to help operate the Grizzco HQ, as the Salmonid attacks have been nonstop in the area (requiring Grizzco to be open 24/7). He's been on guard ever since the first Cohozuna attack, and he has been furiously researching methods to make the uniforms even safer.

After Mr. Grizz starts taking time off for a "personal" project, Grill starts to feel the pressure of running things without an ever-present boss to keep everything under control—and doesn't notice a smallfry hitching a ride back to Splatsville via his hat.

Upon finding the smallfry in his locker, Grill winds up chasing it into the kettle leading to the Crater, where he runs across Craig Cuttlefish and somehow gets stuck helping the guy search for the missing Great Zapfish.

After a fight with DJ Octavio, Grill wakes up in a strange new place, having fallen who knows how far into an underground cavern with the smallfry and Craig Cuttlefish... except the latter is missing and now some random inklings calling themselves Agent 1 and Agent 2 are enlisting Grill's help with finding "Gramps," all while this "Captain" just silently watches.

Was the original Agent 3, but has a sketchy origin. Goes by Olive.

She has taken over as the new captain of the Squidbeak Splatoon. Because of what happened with Agent 8, Olive is constantly trying to avoid everything that still haunts her—including any situation where she would need to pick up a weapon and fight.

Because of her extremely withdrawn nature, Agents 1 and 2 have taken to interpreting her quiet whispers into words that the new Agent 3 can hear.

No matter how many times she gets asked, she never says a word about Agent 4 (whose whereabouts remain a mystery, even to his former Turf team).

(AKA: Agent 5) Assisted Agent 2 in finding Agent 1, and lost half a tentacle to the Octomaw a few years back.

After Grill mysteriously disappears without a word, Iodi sneaks her way into Grizzco (which has suddenly been closed) and searches for clues. Upon finding his phone in his locker and discovering photo evidence that there was a Salmonid in the building, she tries to devise a plan to rescue Grill.

(AKA: Agent 8) Former member of the Octarian army. Works shifts at Grizzco for cash after making it to the surface.

He discovered he has a great passion for botany after seeing the plant life on the surface, and he has since been trying to grow his own garden despite not exactly having a place to do so. (Grill has given up trying to stop Flervo from planting things around the Grizzco building.) 

Although he would never admit it, he thinks Grill is pretty cool—and he proceeds to spiral into a panic when Grill disappears without a word.

Formed a team with Iodi and Eirik after all their old teams disbanded. Knows Iodi did... something involving secrets.

He's still trying to get the hang of trends that ended before he even knew about them, and is constantly horrified at the prices of brand-name clothing.

Because of his distrust for Grill and Grizzco Industries, Xythen only works Salmon Run shifts when Iodi drags him along for the ride. 

Was on a ranked team with Xythen's older sister that has since disbanded. Doesn't snipe any less casually.

Despite his great dislike for the new Anarchy Battle system, he continues to dominate in Tower Control specifically. He still doesn't understand how Clam Blitz works.

An elite octoling that lingered in Inkopolis once she came to the surface world in search of her missing brother. 

Despite being childhood friends with Olive, Aica hasn't seen the former since the incident in Octo Valley. She remains in contact with Ceeja, but neither of them know of Olive's current whereabouts.

Although she intended to make her way to the Splatlands, her plans are derailed after she lands in a... situation.

Originally a close friend of Olive's, he vanished without a word around the same time Callie went missing, but the Octarians claim to have nothing to do with his disappearance.
