In the two years that he had been married to Liang Yesheng, Lu Ming had always lived in anger. Every time he quarreled with Liang Yesheng, Lu Ming would think, "Oh, my God, how could someone like him even find a spouse? What kind of idiot would marry this guy? Must be some really bad luck."
Then, he remembered that he seemed to be this idiot.

Lu Ming's friends don't know Liang Yesheng's gender at first! The word for he(他) is pronounced the same way as she(她) in Chinese. But don't worry, Lu Ming clears it up early on in the book!
I couldn't really find an English equivalent for 恋人 (which can translate to bf/gf, husband/wife, or any two people in a romantic relationship), so I'm using “lovers” instead, even though it really means a partner outside of marriage. But if you guys have any suggestions, please let me know!
Also, I use dollars in the translation to mean Yuan, not USD.
