Department Rank Structure Adjustment

• As of October 6, 2024 - the new rank structure has been implemented!

  • Senior Patrol Officer

  • Patrol Officer III

  • Patrol Officer II

  • Patrol Officer I

  • Probationary Patrol Officer

• All officers, including full-time, reserve officers, and auxiliary officers, must check the Municipal Police Public Roster for a new callsign as most, if not all, have been changed! ⚠️

Department Pursuit Policy

• As an update to our last department meeting, Municipal Police Administration has submitted our revised pursuit policy to Community Leadership & Senior Administration. This is pending review and approval, and once approved, we will share applicable updates.

Bureau of Professional Development:

• • Bureau Supervisors & Command have been working on implementing additional clauses which cover 'No Show' Work Logs, which will reward our training officers who attempt to host and complete training but fail to have success with people attending. This is pending approval. In addition, the new training for our Field Training Officers is complete and pending approval.

  • We'd like to remind all of our Field Training Officers that they are able to redeem and purchase rewards and perks with the tickets they earn for completing work within the bureau!

Bureau of Investigative Services:

• The Criminal Investigations Division has an opening for the Commander. LOIs are due by 09/21/2024 11:59 PM EST. Municipal Police - BIS CID Commander LOI Requirements.pdf

• The Municipal Police Gang Unit has openings for GU Supervisor. LOIS are due by 09/21/2024 11:59 PM EST. MP-GU - Letter of Interest (1).pdf

• The Criminal Investigations Division Applications are open until 09/15/2024 11:59 PM EST. 

• The Criminal Investigations Division has revamped a proactive patrol policy allowing Detectives to patrol with restrictions. See the SOP for more!

Bureau of Field Services:

• Canine Unit:

  • As of October 5, 2024, the Canine Unit has released the new Server 2 Uniform Structure to be utilized by Canine Officers. 

  • Canine Unit has also implemented activity requirements, all handlers must, at minimum, complete four (4) hours of patrol to remain active within the division, and there are additional promotion requirements for the division that have been implemented. 

  • Applications for the Canine Unit are currently closed.

• Drone Unit:

  • Applications are open, which can be found here.

Bureau of Transportation:

• San Andreas Bay Transportation Authority:

  • Transit Police Investigative Services is now open!

  • Officers interested in Transit Police, and keeping our transit areas safe are encouraged to apply today which can be found here.

• Traffic Enforcement Division:

  • Applications are closed for the monthly cycle of October!

  • As of October 3, 2024 - Tyler M. has been appointed as the Traffic Division Commander! We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to fill the role of Traffic Supervisor!

    • NOTE: If you submitted a letter of interest earlier this year, and were not selected, and still interested: unless you want to change or add any information to your letter of interest, you do not have to submit a new one, and you are welcome to reach out to Tyler M.
