All Municipal Police Officers are required to fill out the Roll Call for the month of May 2023. The roll call form can be found here.
This is a standard promotion requirement for all ranks.
Municipality Assignment Sheet:
All officers are required to notify a Municipal Police supervisor when beginning their patrol and to be added to an available municipality. Officers must notify when ending their shift to be taken off of the sheet. Officers can not switch around to multiple departments as they wish without notifying supervisors for availability.
When there is no supervisor active, the regulations manual on restrictions still apply, and officers must spread themselves out within the restrictions applied to each municipality, and spread themselves out equally to cover the patrol area.
Failure to comply with the regulations manual will result in logged coachings & other disciplinary actions if necessary — Staff will be enforcing these policies.
All reports written by officers must be filed in detail, with specific details about where a situation happened, when it happened, who was involved, etc.
All arrest reports must be 100 words minimum.
When in a situation where a panic button is to be pressed, you stay realistic in terms of whether or not you would physically be able to press your panic button.
For example, being shot multiple times fatally or in a major vehicle accident that would knock you unconscious, etc.; you would not be able to press the panic button right away immediately.
Code Response:
Utilize proper code response depending on the type of calls that have been acknowledged over the radio.
Not all calls need to have a code 3 response!
