February 2023 newsletter

All Municipal Police Officers are required to fill out the Roll Call for the month of February 2023. The roll call form can be found here.

Please make sure to inform supervisors when beginning or ending patrol for the district assignment sheet, failure to do so will result in disciplinary actions.

The Municipal Police has made a callsign formatting change, changing from "2B" format to numbers only.

• Officers will be required to call into the radio frequency as "### to [Municipality] [Control]"

  • Examples are attached: "Car 2 to Grapeseed [Control] — Unit 253 to Davis  [Control] — Cruiser 510 to Paleto [Control]"

Bureau of Professional Development:

• Davin Y. 2B-140 has received Field Training Officer of the Month with 13 work orders!

• Officer Success Program classes will be administered coming soon.

Bureau of Field Services:

• Environmental Police — Documents are being completed for a community-wide sub division.

• Canine — Documents are 90% complete and will be sent for approval.

Bureau of Investigative Services:

• Certifications are upcoming, roughly 90% complete.

• 15 cases opened & filed in January 2023, 10 completed & 5 with pending warrants.

Bureau of Transportation:

• Traffic Enforcement Division:

  • Applications are open — 26 applications filed during January 2023.
