March 2023 newsletter

All Municipal Police Officers are required to fill out the Roll Call for the month of March 2023. The roll call form can be found here.

Please make sure to inform supervisors when beginning or ending patrol for the district assignment sheet, failure to do so will result in disciplinary actions.

Please make sure your callsigns are updated on all assets to match our new callsign format, announced last month during our February 2023 meeting.

All officers are reminded of our jurisdictional boundary lines for each municipal department; the map can be found here.

Ensure to follow uniform structure — short sleeve shirt uniforms are not permitted until spring, roughly mid-late April.

All officers are invited to fill out a phone number submission form, to input their phone number on our public roster.

All officers are reminded to follow our regulations and policies at all times.

All officers must accurately fill out CAD Reports & Forms with clear and concise details at all times.

• No reports should be given a description / narrative of "N/A" or "suspect shot at officers, he was shot by officers and transported to the hospital"; etc. Reports need detail.

Do not put yourself in a risky area, such as in front or behind a vehicle at a traffic stop / felony stop / pursuit; do not utilize to attempt to "justify a shooting".

• All canine documentation is complete and is now pending review by MP Administration & Head Administration.

Bureau of Investigative Services:

• Certifications are being finalized & reviewed by BIS Administration & will be sent for final approval.
