Judicial Services:
As previously announced throughout March, Judicial Services has introduced a streamlined process for requesting warrants, making it more efficient and convenient for all law enforcement personnel. The new Warrant Request Form, accessible to police officers, allows you to request arrest and search warrants swiftly and easily, eliminating the need for tedious paperwork and lengthy processing times. To find further information & updates, all officers are required to join the Judicial Services Discord and complete the verification process. 🗃️
Officers can find the new Judicial Servies Warrant Request form here! 🔗
⚠️Narratives must be at least 100 words or more, similar to arrest reports and criminal summons. Invalid requests will be denied swiftly and Officers will have to submit the form once again with valid details.
Uniform Structure:
Officers are requested to ensure their compliance and understanding of the uniform structure to ensure they comply with our structures.
Patrol Reminders:
Units should be getting approval from a supervisor before clearing a scene and should also not be clearing the scene as soon as the suspect is taken into custody.
This is not only unprofessional and unrealistic, but it also violates our Self-Attaching policy, which touches on call-hopping.
Units should not have to be told by a supervisor to cease fire, much less multiple times.
Officers who exhibit violations of our Use of Force policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action; almost all instances of excessive force and illegal misconduct can be issued as a 10-90.
CAD Reports:
These are some reasons your report/record might be rejected. If your record is rejected, you will be notified and required to make the necessary corrections.
Violation of our ‘Completion of Report and Forms’ policy.
A Criminal Summons or an Arrest Report fails to meet the 100-word narrative minimum.
A violation or offense can not be proven with the given narrative.
The narrative lacks sufficient or vital information.
Abundance of grammar mistakes.
We will also void and remove records from the civilian's record, if they violate the following:
You have failed to make corrections to a record within the given seven (7) days.
The record was unjustified or lacks the required probable cause.
Utilizing the incorrect record forms (e.g. A misdemeanor is listed on a citation)
If you want to avoid taking someone to jail and they have committed only non-violent misdemeanors, you can file a criminal summons, which is essentially releasing them with a date to appear in court.
