Nothingness

Artist statement: For this assignment, we had to take two photos, one of a person and then one of the background behind them, and put them into photoshop. There we had to take parts of the person and replace them with the background to give the effect of "nothingness". I like the first image the most because while it is not perfect it's still pretty seamless. I like how I was able to get the reflection in the door to line up and also frame it so that the identifying features of the face are not shown. If I were to do something differently I would entirely redo the second photo. The original one that I was going to use ended up with the two photos not lining up in the slightest, so as a last-minute rush I ended up with a semi-okay photo where the background had some noticeable shadow/lighting differences.
