I took this because it makes you think about what the photo might be, and it also looks really satisfying as a texture
Looks very stiff and different from what I was going for, didn't even need edits to enhance that, just a little cropping
The bumpy feel it gives off was pleasing when I snapped the photo, wasn't even too sure it would even come out good
Originally I was shooting for getting a photo of the underside of a maple leaf, but when I saw this one, oh boy that plan went out the window
Wanted to get at least one photo capturing the texture of morning dew, and once more this plant came in clutch
Found it appealing how many different colors leaves there were, and the feel of the leaves on the eyes and fingers was an added bonus
I always love how a branch or stump looks with all of the rings, and when I found one where the rings were raised, it was an added bonus
It seems as though the fur looks good from afar and up close
One must love a good fungus when you see one
Was running out of ideas around me, so I just looked down and tada!
Artist Statement:
This assignment was the texture and pattern assignment, which is pretty self-explanatory. We had to walk around and take photos of different things that gave a texture that one can feel with their eyes when you look at the photo. The texture had to fill the whole frame, if not almost all of it, and there was no specific thing or subject that one had to take photos of, so I snapped some shots of all sorts of things.
