Multiple Exposure Portrait

Artist Statement:

For this assignment, we had the weekend to go out into the world and take three landscape photos along with three portrait photos with at least one being of ourselves. The next step was to insert our portraits photos into photoshop and, with many steps, capture only ourselves and then a white or black background as seen above. The next step after that was to overlay the landscape photo of our choosing over the portrait and have them blend nicely together. Once we found the perfect blend, that was that. Personally, I leaned towards black backdrops for my three photos, I thought that it would give the colors more of a pop than the white, and in general that worked out pretty well. The last one is a little on the darker side, but I think that portrays the fact that it is supposed to be a night photo quite well.
