Rank Responsibilities

New recruits will start off as an 09, the bottom rank of the Enlisted group, which is 09 to 07. Enlisted can be promoted by doing well in combat (combat efficiency) and following orders. Once a player is an 06, they'll have to show some teamwork, cooperation with fellow Combine, so on and so forth.

06 to 04 is referred to as Junior NCO, meaning they can no longer be promoted for combat efficiency and must show teamwork, and squad work in order to rise through the ranks.

Once someone becomes an 03 they will become a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and will get more responsibilities. For starters, NCOs are responsible for training new recruits, so they must pay attention to anyone requiring recruit training. NCOs are also responsible and encouraged to lead Enlisted members into battle, since NCOs have to show leadership skills to be promoted and maintain their rank.

Senior NCO is similar to NCO but with a higher standard, and some potential infrastructure work for the subdivision they are in. As soon as one becomes an SqL (depending on the subdivision), they may be able to host debriefs (colloquially known as DBs) and possibly host tryouts.

[Both COs and Senior NCOs work together to host Tryouts for the for their respective subdivisions. It is expected for each subdivision to do at least one tryout per week (Except EOW(R), GRID, MACE, and CROSS).]

Commissioned Officers (OfC-X) are responsible for managing their subdivision/division, scheduling tryouts and announcing debriefs. They may also conduct Drills and training, host mini-Events, and are expected to be community leaders for their Subdivision.

Commanders (CmDs) are the leaders of their subdivision. Their Primary function is to identify CO candidates, guide them along, train them on how to be a CO, and promote them to and as a CO.

Division Leaders (DvLs), rather self-explanatory lead and command their division in all things, mostly pertaining to external affairs and ensuring their Subdivisions stay on task. They are also meant to be wider community leaders that build the culture of their division.

Different from the CO team is Overlook. Overlook is the overarching leadership group of the Combine, and so there are very few members. Overlook members manage the whole combine faction, with the Planetary Commander having the final say overall. Whilst their authority is not absolute, as that falls to server management, management only really weighs in on the largest of changes and so Overlook is alone in managing the faction pretty much 24/7.

Rank Authority and permissions

To clarify following the changing of the rank responsibilities this section will state the authority/granting permissions each rank set hold.

Enlisted - Cannot grant vehicles/infils etc.

JNCO - Cannot grant vehicles/infils etc.

NCO - Can grant vehicles/infils etc. - AUTHORITY VARIES BASED ON SUBDIVISION E.G OVA, NPU

SNCO - Can grant vehicles/infils etc. - AUTHORITY VARIES BASED ON SUBDIVISION E.G OVA, NPU

CO+ - Can grant/deny everything. Also the only group that manages promotions/demotions, though again authority is generally restricted to their own subdivisions, and becomes wider spread the higher up the ranks you go. (ex. a CmD can only promote/demote their own subdivision members, but a DvL can promote/demote anyone within their division)
