You know of Sine and Cosine
and Tangent trig ratios.
Secant, Cosecent,
Cotangent get disclosed.
But are you aware,
There are more trig functions out there?
Versine, the Old Trig Function,
Equal to one minus cos,
Ranges from two to zero,
Negatives it will oppose.
Double sine squared works also,
If you halve its angle down.
As haversine it's useful,
Navigating earth - it's round!
Then there's coversine's design,
It's one minus sine.
Vercosine has cos and plus,
Exsecant? No, that's enough.
That's how the old trig functioned,
Tables, minutes and degrees,
Versine that Old Trig Function,
Left behind in history.
(Second verse, same as the first)
Left behind in history.
