For her next attempt, Lyn began to approach a Sine function. However, before she could, she was tapped on the shoulder by what looked like a Cosine function. "You look like you're lost, yes?" the function remarked.
Lyn blinked. If she was reading the signs right, this function was '-cos(x) + 1'. "Yes, I... we," the line amended, gesturing back at Circe, "Are looking for the Primary Trig. Could you direct us?"
The Cosine in question grinned. "I can do one better - I'll lead you right to them."
Circe stepped forwards now, peering more intently at the function. "Hold on. You look familiar," she asserted. "Have we met before?"
'-cos(x) + 1' hesitated, suddenly appearing nervous. "I... I have been shadowing you since your arrival," the brunette admitted. "We don't get a lot of visitors in the AZ."
"Then why didn't you say something sooner?" Circe said in annoyance. "You're nothing but a big coward!"
"Circe! How rude!" Lyn admonished.
"No, she's right," the function admitted, now looking downcast. "Sometimes I even scare myself. But hey, what I lack in courage, I make up for in perseverance..."
Circe gestured vaguely. "Whatever. I suppose we do need help, so we'll accept you already, and your little dogged perseverance too."
