"Why are you still up here?"
Once everything with Para seemed to be resolving itself, Lyn had taken the opportunity to climb up the rubble and out the hole in the ceiling, to look for Slope. She found the brunette sitting on the edge of the roof; Slope turned at Lyn's approach.
"I... I didn't want to face Circe," Slope explained. "There would be too many questions."
Lyn stared at her friend for a moment, then moved to sit next to her. "You already know Circe," she realized.
Slope sighed. "Yes. But only in passing, my older sisters know her better."
"Sisters?" Lyn's eyebrows went up. "You never told me you had sisters!"
"I'm not fond of them," Slope said, making a face. "I feel so much more connected to you than I do to them. A part of me even sensed you were in trouble, despite your standard form... I'm the one who found the ladder the Polys used to get up here."
