"Hold on," the bartender called out. "I'll give you a juice, on the house."
Lyn turned back. "You won't make any money that way."
The bartender made a shrugging motion beneath his scarf. "Gotta start somewhere. As my first customer, I'm hoping you can bring in a few others." He set down a glass. "What's your name?"
Lyn edged back towards one of the stools again. "I'm Linear. Call me Lyn."
"Nice to meet you, Lyn." He smiled. "Let me know if there's anything I can do for you while you're here. I don't want anyone to leave my bar with negative feelings."
"Oh yes?" mused the blonde. "Nice goal, any reason for that?"
The bartender nodded. "Because this is an absolute value bar."
"See you," Lyn concluded, turning around and heading back to the door.
