Reci arrived as the others were already eating. He dropped his briefcase by the door and looked towards QT. "All but confirmed, cutie," he said. "Hyper was shifty when I called. Safe to assume the Conics have Para."
"Perfect," Root said, sliding a hand through his hair. "Any suggestions then, Reci? After all, you're practically one of them."
"I am not! I'm a specialist," Reci said, moving to sit down. "Though offhand, I'd say we blow up Hyper's lab."
"Um, that's... extreme. And extremely negative," the cat girl said, frowning.
"That's what I do, cutie," he reminded her with a grin.
QT blushed. "Stop inflecting my name that way."
"Hey, no bringing inflections into this!" Cubi declared, shaking a finger.
"Ah, if I may?" Maud broke in. The other four turned to look at him. "Perhaps if you gave me a bit of the history, I could help?" The others exchanged glances.
"Well," Reci began. "Long ago, the Sumerians and Babylonians had a sexagesimal number system, that is, base 60. We still use this to tell time--"
"He means RECENT history," Root said testily.
