"The TI n-Spire is rigged to explode if Tangent shows up," Circe said succinctly.
"We think," Tangent clarified. "After all, there was no guarantee I'd even be coming." Her eyes dropped to the floor. "My sisters haven't tried to contact me since I left all those months ago. I bet you were voting on appointing a replacement parent, if anything..."
"Are you joking?" Nat shot back. "Sine and Cosine are lost without your navigation. Why, they brought us together because they were worried that presenting you with this one trophy wouldn't be enough, and wanted our input."
"Oh... oh, really?" Tangent said, her hands clasping as she jerked her gaze back up.
"Inverse's honour," Nat stated. "I'd say if you're willing to give Trig another try, we'll all welcome you back with open arms."
"Oh!" Tangent said in delight. Which was followed by a more uncertain, "Oh..." as she looked back towards Lyn.
"Let's handle the explosives first," Lyn suggested, still feeling hesitant about the Trig twins' motives. "We'll figure out the pros of your Conn later."
