A magical bakery. A grumpy wolf shifter in a designer suit. And one very enchanted mistake. Netti never meant to bewitch Connor Abernathy. She just forgot to tell him to think about his business meeting while eating the focus scones, not about her frosting-covered dress and wide green eyes. Now the possessive billionaire is convinced she's cursed him, and he's not wrong. He's cursed all right. Cursed to crave her with every breath.
Connor's tried everything to break free. He left town and crashed his car. He focused on work and thought only of her. His wolf is howling for her, his body is burning for her, and his control is slipping with every passing hour. When he corners her in the bakery after closing, demanding answers, the chemistry between them ignites. Maybe it's a spell. Maybe it's fate. But one thing is certain. He's not leaving without her.
Indulge in Spellbound Scones, a cozy and scorching paranormal romance featuring a chaotic witch who bakes magic, a billionaire alpha who falls first and hardest, and enough spice to require a fan. Treat yourself to the sweetness today!
A spicy small-town billionaire romance novella, perfect for fans Juliette Cross and Laurie Gilmore.
Nettie's exhausted. Maybe working overtime to pay for her dream of becoming a nurse wasn't such a great idea. Between school, family, and baking spelled scones, she's falling apart.
Until an alpha wolf billionaire walks into the bakery where she works.
Conner came into Magickal Morsels to find a spelled scone to help him finally close a lucrative deal with a reluctant CEO. He's irritated. Furious, even. The wolf shifter almost doesn't notice the pretty woman behind the counter. But then he takes a bite, and suddenly, she consumes his thoughts.
Did she give him a love spell? Because, if so, there are going to be big problems. She'll either ruin his deal or break his heart.
The heartwarming novel Spellbound Scones transports readers to a small town where a grumpy character and a sunny personality collide, creating a delightful romantic dynamic. With its cozy setting and guaranteed happily ever after, this book is a must-read for romance lovers.

Review: 🌟🌟
A spicy and short novella starring a pastry witch and a billionaire wolf shifter in a small town filled with paranormal creatures and magic.Â
Nettie has been working so hard to make her dreams of becoming a nurse come true. She works long shifts at Magickal Morsels during the day and takes classes at night. She is so close to graduating, but she’s running out of funds to pay for college expenses. Connor only wanted a magical scone to help him close an important business deal. Unfortunately, Nettie forgot to tell him what he should focus on when he consumed the concentration scone, and now he finds that he can’t stop thinking about the pink-haired pastry chef. Convinced that Nettie slipped him a love spell, Connor goes back for answers. When an unexpected steamy encounter ensues, they both have to consider that the attraction between them may possibly mean something.Â
I absolutely loved “Sunscreen and Spellbooks,” so I figured I should check out more of DeVillainy’s work. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the one for me, but I do think that longer books in this series have potential, so I’m probably going to keep on reading regardless. And I’m definitely not done with DeVillainy’s books, because some of them really intrigue me!Â
My main problem with this one is how instalove it is. I know, I know, this is a me problem, but it really took away from the enjoyment of the book. Nettie and Connor have very little chemistry, and yet they are heads over heels in love with one each. This is an example of fated mates that doesn’t work well for me, because we know literally nothing about either character and they are already thinking about going to town together.Â
The setting of Magickal Morsels and the small town it inhabits is cute, but nothing original. There are literally hundreds of small towns filled with witches and other magical creatures, so this wasn’t enough to keep me invested.Â
Another big problem I had was the fact that I didn’t feel like I knew any of the characters. Both Nettie and Connor are very surface level with very typical problems (financial issues and succession family drama). Rosemary and Carter seem like they’ll have a very similar relationship to Nettie and Connor, but I’m hoping that their romance will be filled with more wholesome moments rather than only sex and physical attraction.Â
This one is also insanely spicy for a novella. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but since I didn’t connect to either of our MCs, I just found myself zoning out for most of the intimate scenes.Â
Overall, “Sorcery and Scones” is a typical paranormal romance novella set in a magical small town. Nettie and Connor are both boring and their instalove romance really didn’t hold my interest in the slightest. I saw the potential in this one, but I mostly found myself bored by the same tropes, drama, and magical scenarios. I do think I’ll read book two at some point and see if the page count helps at all. If it doesn’t, I’ll probably let this series go.Â
Audiobook Note: This one is duet narrated by Claire Marlowe and Harley Chase. They made reading this book palatable, and I’m grateful that I pursued this one on audio rather than reading it as an ebook. It appears that they narrate this entire series, so I’m definitely chill with listening to more of their work if I decide to continue.

“You’ve been mine from the moment I saw you. Tonight I’m going to make sure you never forget it.”- Carter
Carter Abernathy knows his mate the moment he scents her. Berries and cream. Magic and moonlight. The witch who kissed him once and vanished for a year. Now he's back in her life, and this time he's not letting her go without a fight.
Rosemary is drowning. A lounge opening in six days. A stalker ex who won't quit. Decorations in the wrong color. A bakery fire that torched her macaron order. She doesn't have time for a wolf shifter who looks at her like she's the only star in his sky. Except Carter isn't asking for permission. He's fixing her tires. Baking macarons at midnight. Sleeping on her porch to keep her safe. And when her ex crosses the line, Carter shows her exactly what happens when you threaten a wolf's mate.
Rose spent her life helping everyone else. Carter's spent a year waiting to help her. But if she lets him in, she'll have to stop running and face the truth.
She's his.
She's always been his.

One flying spoonful of crepe batter.
One very handsome stranger.
One fake date to his sister’s wedding.
Cherie Belanger’s life in River Hills is simple: work at the cozy creperie, avoid family drama, and absolutely do not get involved with a man who smells like wildflowers and trouble. But when a batter mishap lands on Ethan Ellsworth; the town’s quiet and annoyingly attractive florist.
He shows up the next day with a bouquet and a proposition: pretend to be his girlfriend for one weekend and save him from sibling wrath.
She says no, but the flowers keep coming. And maybe, just maybe, she starts looking forward to seeing him.
But between shared “practice dates,” discovering Ethan’s looks unfairly good in suspenders, and one creaky bed in a bed-and-breakfast that forces them a little too close, pretending might just turn into something real…
Small-town charm, laugh-out-loud mishaps, and slow-burn romance. Carnations & Crepes will make your heart bloom.
