Review: 🌟🌟

A glamping short story featuring a scenic Montana wedding and a meddling best friend. 

Delylah Banks is attending her best friend's wedding, meaning she'll have to come face to face with her best friend's older brother and her long-time crush. When Em's shenanigan's end up bringing Delylah and Noah together again, they know that they can't waste this reunion. 

I must say, I was made aware of this one by an ad on Goodreads. I'm really sad that I fell for the pretty cover, because this one felt like a bit of a waste of time. At least I listened to it with my Prime subscription I was already paying for. 

I couldn't connect to any of these characters. I thought it was neat that Delylah was a forensics photographer, but that was such a minor part of this story and she wants to put that part of her behind her. Noah was such a stereotypical best friend's older brother. Em was actually such a jerk for trying to keep these two apart for literally no reason. 

I went into this one not knowing it was connected to a series. If I would have known that, I wouldn't have checked it out. Maybe these characters appear in the main series and I was supposed to already know them, but as a stand alone, I didn't care about any of them. 

I've read stories that are quite similar to this one with a sister trying to keep her brother away from her best friend and them having to overcome her shenanigans. This story was so unoriginal it was frustrating. 

Overall, "Picture This" was such a cliche read. I didn't like any of the characters, and I found it to be frustrating, Maybe if I would have read the books that this story is based around I would have enjoyed it, but as a stand alone story I had no interest. I have heard great things about this author, so hopefully I'll enjoy her other works more. 

Audiobook Note: This one is dual narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton. I found Brentmoor's narration to be super typical, but Hamilton had a unique accent. Can't say I loved it, but the narration made this story easily consumable at least.
