After a failed engagement, a young witch returns to her hometown to work at her grandma's coffee shop.
Cassiopeia's life has taken a turn for the worst. When she finds herself unemployed after a failed engagement, she returns home as an almost thirty-year-old witch. There, she resumes work at her grandmother's coffee shop and begins to reconnect with her childhood friends. One day, she meets a mysterious cat familiar by the name of Balthazar that seems to be hosting a dark secret. With nothing better to do, Cassiopeia begins to investigate.
This was a really fun and sweet novelette. Cassiopeia is a great protagonist whose luck has taken a turn for the worst. Seeing her reconnect with her hometown is really heartwarming after she returns home from the big city.
This novelette does a swell job of introducing us to an eccentric cast of characters that will certainly appear in future installments of this series. My favorite has to be Balthazar, the titular grumpy cat. It is hard not to enjoy a talking cat, period. But one with an attitude? Yes, please! I can't wait to see more of Balthazar in the future.
I'm excited to see how the sapphic romance arc between Cassiopeia and Faye develops in the future. The childhood besties vibe is powerful between them, so I am certainly looking forward to experiencing them growing closer in the future.
Overall, "The Coffee House Witch & the Grumpy Cat" is a quick and cozy read with great autumn vibes. It's not the strongest story on its own, but it does a fabulous job of setting up for future installments in this series. I look forward to exploring more of this world and seeing how the characters grow in the next few books!Â

Return to the witchy Cobblestones where Cassiopeia's next challenge awaits. This time, she's making hangover potions for the seniors of the neighbourhood who are living much wilder lives than her. Since her magic is still playing up, she has to recruit her childhood friend Faye and the grumpy cat Balthazar for help.
Can she keep the headaches to a minimum or is it an impossible challenge?

The second installment in a slow burn sapphic romance featuring two witches that grew up in the same cozy small town.Â
Cass is still struggling with her wonky magic, and the stakes only seem to be growing larger. Since her grandmother asked her to brew some hangover potions for her poker night, Cass now has a deadline she needs her magic working by. Desperate to concur the desired potions, Cass leans on childhood friend, Faye, for assistance.Â
The world that this book is set in is so cozy. It features a ton of witches who live in this small town that Cass has just returned to after breaking up with her longtime girlfriend. This installment mostly features Cass and Faye reconnecting with one another while trying to reignite Cass's magic.Â
As always, the talking cats are one of the major highlights of this series. Betsy and Balthazar are both icons in their own ways. Betsy is a lazy queen, and Balthazar is such a sassy boy. I'm totally engaged with every scene that they appear in.Â
I fear that this book lacked something as not much was really accomplished. I mean, we're starting to learn more about Cass and Faye's vibe, which is good as they're going to be our main romantic relationship that we're following. A little bit of progress was made on restoring Cass's magic. In the long run though, not much was truly accomplished to fix either problem. Jade's books are always short, but this one seemed a bit too short.Â
Overall, "The Coffee House Witch & the Hangover Potion" was a quick read that progresses the story line of the "Cobblestone Coven" series just a smidge. It was fun seeing Cass and Faye reconnect with one another more, as they were childhood friends who have only recently gotten in contact again. The talking cats are as iconic as ever, and I'm totally here for them. I hope volume three in this series adds a tad bit more to this story, because I feel this book was severely lacking.Â

When everything that can go wrong goes wrong, Cassie desperately needs to find herself a deity who will grant her some good fortune or she'll be doomed forever. Meanwhile, the cursed clock just keeps ticking, ticking, ticking.

A moving novella in the "Cobblestone Coven" series that spotlights grief and finding a new normal after loss.Â
After the recent death of Balthazar's owner, Cassie agrees to help him clean out the estate. Cassie recruits the help of her childhood best friend, Faye, due to her family's expertise in antiques. The three grow closer together as they sort through past memories and look towards the future.Â
This was such a sweet and moving addition to this series. I found myself coming pretty close to tearing up at times, so I've definitely become invested in these characters' lives and stories.Â
This short novella mostly focuses on Balthazar dealing with the grief of losing his lifetime companion, and Cassie attempting to put her relationship with her ex-girlfriend behind her. It's truly a story about leaning on friends during hard times and figuring out how to exist once more when everything changes. Seeing Cassie and Balthazar's relationship develop was so sweet and I look forward to seeing Balthazar become a full time member of the coffee house in the coming books.Â
Balthazar is an extremely likable character with his sassy attitude and his proper mannerisms. I mean, he's a talking cat that wears a bow tie, how could one ignore him? I did really enjoy getting a more in-depth view of his character in this one as he copes with the death of a loved one and learns that even cats need a little help from time to time.Â
On the Cassie and Faye romance front, not much has changed. They are both obviously crushing on one another, but fear ruining a friendship that has been going on since their childhood. We somehow still have another book to go before they confess their feelings, but I'm down for a slow burn series.Â
Overall, "The Coffee House Witch & the Cursed Clock" has been my favorite in this series so far. The emotional depth in this one surpassed the previous books as the exploration of grief in this one was beautiful. Balthazar's character gained some depth in this one, which is definitely a great asset to this series. I look forward to seeing what Cassie, Balthazar, and Faye get up to next!Â

Not all is well in the Cobblestones.
While life with the grumpy cat might have settled for Cassie, it's not going to stay peaceful for long. A source of negative energy shows up to disrupt her life and it's going to take more than a simple cleansing to get rid of it.

Cassie and Faye work towards confessing their feelings for one another in this installment of the "Cobblestone Coven" series.Â
After clearing out Balthazar's owner's estate, Balthazar is feeling adrift. Cassie is doing her hardest to support him, but she wishes that Balthazar would choose to stay with her as her familiar. Meanwhile, Cassie's estranged mother flies back into her life once more, all while Cassie is trying to grapple with her feelings for her childhood best friend, Faye. Life isn't going great for Cassie, but she's determined to turn that around.Â
I've really been enjoying my time in the Cobblestones, and it was such a relief to see that Cassie and Faye are finally going to be going on an official date in the next book. I love a slow burn, but these two really needed to figure their feelings for each other out.Â
Seeing Cassie and Balthazar's bound grow stronger in this one was a highlight for me. In the last book, Cassie helps Balthazar deal with his grief, and in this one, she is helping him figure out what his new normal is going to look like. They might not agree on much, but that doesn't mean that they don't care for one another.Â
Cassie also has to deal with her mother, who is very condescending and a bit off the walls. Cassie still struggles to stand up for herself around her mother, but it's so heartwarming to see her support system come to her aide when she needs it.Â
Overall, "The Coffee House Witch & the Unwelcome Guest" was another fun installment in the "Cobblestone Coven" series. It's great experiencing the growth of these characters and watching them all grow closer together with one another. I'm super excited to check out Cassie and Faye's date in book five as well as all of Balthazar's snarky comments surrounding it.Â

For the first time in a while, things are looking up for witch Cassie. She's got an almost-girlfriend and an almost-familiar, and there's a new deity that's trying to get her attention too.
Everything might actually be going too well because now Cassie has to figure out how to balance her love life, family, and magic while also tending to the whims of a cat.

To support her friend Juniper through a tough break-up, Senna cheers her up with a ghost tour of the cosy witchy shops in Cobblestone Lane. There's much to see: a little coffee house where cats serve hot drinks, a chocolatery with magical treats, a club with a ghost DJ, and much more.
As they spend more time together and find the delightful gems hidden away, Senna has to ask herself if she's still doing this as a friend... or as more.

Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
A sweet companion story set in the "Cobblestone Coven" universe that highlights the beauty of books and the joy of spending time with fellow readers.Â
Tess owns Cobblestone's local bookstore, and she takes her job of getting books into readers hands quite seriously. When reluctant reader Florencia enters her shop, Tess will stop at nothing to turn her into an avid book lover.Â
This one was so cute! Books obviously pair well with coffee, so this was such a great addition to the "Coffee House Witch" vibes. The bookstore was so cozy, and it really reads as a love letter to books and our fellow readers.Â
Tess and Florencia have a very sweet romance. There is literally no other plot than these two interacting with one another, so it made it super simple to follow their relationship. Seeing Tess help Florencia gain a love of reading was so wholesome and sweet; it would be hard not to enjoy this story as a reader.Â
I wasn't expecting the spice in this one. The first few books in this series are spice free as it is a huge slow burn romance, but this story follows different characters. I really probably should have seen the spicy scenes coming, but for some reason, it still caught me off guard. They were sweet too though, so it definitely didn't feel out of place.Â
I absolutely adore Bella and Bruno! A snobby fox and a dorky raven make for quite the pair of familiars. I am particularly partial to Bella the fox, as she is very picky about what she eats and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She made me smile, and therefore, brighten my day.Â
Overall, "The Book Store Witch & the Curious Reader" was such an adorable story set in the "Cobblestone Coven" world. Tess and Florencia have such a cute romance that I couldn't help but smile at their relationship. I am also a huge fan of their goofy familiars. Obviously, the book related themes in this story were the icing on the cake and made this such a wholesome read. As a reader, I find it hard to dislike a story about fellow readers and their love of books.Â
