WORKSHOP The different web-site groups presented their web-pages and we discussed layout and tips on improvements. What all groups have missed was an introduction text, describing their page, what it is about and who's work is on display. Each individual student had also not any accompanying text about their works. The lack of text makes the entire web page incomprehensible. Changes will be made before launching the page next week. The groups will organise their group's page with a home page. We discussed the layout of that one and came up with an idea borrowing an idea of vertically streaming text from the Matrix movies. Until next week the students are creating a QR-code poster system, which is going to become the physical part of this online exhibition. Posters or stickers will be manufactured and posted all over the campus and maybe elsewhere to market the online exhibition. Those posters and stickers will then be the physical part in the public sphere leading spectators to enter the online exhibition.
ARTIST TALK One of this weeks highlights at CAU Photography Department. Shiu Jin and Joungmin Yi, two members of Okin Collective, came and shared their work with us. It was engaging to say the least. It was a great lecture. No, it was an artist talk. Okin Collective enthused everyone present to participate in a talk about art. And it continued around a nice meal in Naeri. Just a shame that most students of this class didn't go.
ANNOUNCEMENT In January 2019 the University will be accepting applications for our Master of Culture and Arts program. The program focus on the individual student’s professional artwork and how it relates and interacts with the world today. The program is encouraging students to pose necessary critical questions and reflect on all types of structures that influences and affect art and its realm. LINK
