In fact most of us have experienced some of the symptoms of depression due to the ever demanding society that we now live in, or perhaps due to bereavement, break up of a relationship or family, losing your job, moving house, changing schools, financial problems etc. Many different things can trigger depression.
Medical studies estimate that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men suffer from depression at some time in their lives. Also about 5% of children have had symptoms suffer symptoms of depression.
