Golf Day – October 2024
Once again, a successful day was held at the Kew Golf Club. Last year threw up a late question mark as to even the running of the event due to inclement weather earlier in the morning – quite a bit of rain, hail and some lightning. No such meteorology this time with almost perfect conditions. Thanks to Bill Dowling for, once again, coordinating this event, with help from Shane Favaloro without whose dealings with his Kew GC the event wouldn't have been held.
Bill's report (with photos ... he's multi-skilled!) can be read below or opened in a new window here, from where it can be downloaded it needed. The photos can be viewed individually by clicking each of these below:

Some of the attendee names might require an explanation: Catherine Hall and Davina Calhaem are our contacts at Xavier (SPOCA memorabilia archive, organizers of the Anzac Service, among other valued contributions); Luke Connell (also works with Catherine and Davina, he shares the same grandfather as Matt O'Kane ... if that's not the correct connection, someone can advise via the email address below!).

ANZAC DAY Service at Xavier College, April 2024:
The booklet below (scroll down to view inside pages) is an abbreviated version of the Proceedings for the 2024 Anzac Commemoration service at Xavier College, which was of particular significance to Patricians as it recalled the service of Richard PIRRIE (SPC 1934-38). Reference is made to Richard (Dick) Pirrie elsewhere on our website on the 'Notables' page. There are also some video stories about Dick which can be found online, for example here (others can be found by searching for "Richard Pirrie D-Day").
Some photos taken at the event are displayed below the 'Proceedings' booklet ...
