Publications
There have been at least two regular publications which were produced at St Patrick's over the decades. The main one was the annual College Yearbook – The Patrician. It began in 1922 and continued almost every year (there was no edition produced in 1943) until the school closed in 1968. It reported on all of the many events and activities which took place during each school year. The complete set of that historical record has been scanned and is available in the Yearbooks page of this website.
A second, much smaller publication, was the Semper Fidelis. It was a newsletter put together by a group of senior students and distributed a couple of times each year. Interested students formed an editorial committee, and they either wrote articles themselves or sought contributions from the students and teachers. It is not known at this stage when the project began, but was underway in the early 1950s and continued until 1968. Fortunately we have copies of the issues produced between 1958 and 1968. If any Patricians have copies of other years prior to 1958 among their personal records, it would be a very useful contribution of they could be scanned and the resulting file sent to SPOCA to be added here. We have become aware of at least one edition from 1952 and hopefully there will be others which can be unearthed. One issue from 1965 has been added to the Semper Fidelis section of the website, and further editions will be added when they have been scanned.
