Tony CAVANAGH (60-64)

Tony started at St Patrick's in 1960. From his early teenage years he developed an interest in racing. In a short time it became a passion and eventually turned into a life-long love of all aspects of the thoroughbred industry. After leaving school at the end of 1964 he spent a short time working in the State public service but already his interests in the 'sport of kings' was so strong that he moved from the Land Tax Office to the Racecourse Licensing Board and the rest is described in his story below (which can also be downloaded for possibly more convenient reading by clicking this link).
