9th Grade
My name is Riya Naveen; I'm in 9th grade and go to Redmond High School. I love art and have been creating Madhubani art for many years now.
To begin with, Madhubani art originated in Bihar. It was known for its colorful and symbolic art. This painting; The Ram Sita Wedding is an extremely important piece that represents love, loyalty, and trust. It portrays an important moment of Hindu mythology and shows the marriage of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. This painting isn't just a ceremony or celebration. Its the value and bond they have for one another. This painting doesn't just focus on an important mythology, but love and trust, which isn't just a story. The artwork represents a tribute to two deities' love and relationship.
