Grade 4
I started painting about one year ago when I saw my mother and some of my friends working on their projects. Their artworks were very pretty and that made me want to learn it too. I really like my classes with my teacher (who is my mom) and look forward to practicing art every week.
I call this fish Fiery Fish because the colors make it look fiery. I chose these colors because they are bright. My favorite part of this painting is the strawberry dots on the four shells. They're my favorite because I really like the colors. I added vines on every corner because I thought it looked boring over there and I wanted to add some decorations. If I could change anything in this painting. I would make my border design a little different. In India, fish are important because there was a Hindu fish god named Matsya, who warned a sage named Manu about a flood that would destroy the world. He told Manu to build an ark and gather every single animal to ensure the continuity of the world. This project took about nine hours to finish.
