Grade 4
Hello, My name is Dhiya Sankar. I am a 4th grader and have been learning madhubani art with Deepthi Designs for last 1.5 years. I love art and crafts in general, but Madhubani art is one of my favorites. I have completed art work of different birds, sun-moon and fish and I am hoping that there will be many more to come!
This year, I’m excited to show my art at the Annual Art Show and share my creative journey with everyone!
In my Madhubani artwork, the sun and moon come together as one face, reminding us that the world is built on balance. The bright yellows and fiery oranges of the sun bring warmth, energy, and life to the earth. On the other side, the calm blues and cool shades of the moon bring peace, rest, and reflection. Though opposite in nature, they are never truly apart.
The sun rises as the moon sets, and the moon shines only with the sun’s light. Together, they share the sky, guiding time, seasons, and life itself. My art tells us that light and shadow, day and night, strength and gentleness are all part of the same universe.
Through my art, I have captured, a simple yet powerful truth: harmony is born when differences unite. The artwork shows us how even two halves, when joined, can create something whole, beautiful, and eternal.
