The Sacrament of Reconciliation
"Bless me father for I have sinned."
Younger students who are already baptized, need to make their Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) before making their first Holy Communion. Parents are to use the guides below to instruct their children. At some point during their instruction an opportunity will be given for Reconciliation before they make their First Holy Communion.
Older youth and adults (Those in formation for the sacrament of Confirmation) will be encouraged and prevailed upon to frequent the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended you, and I detest all my sins because of your just punishments, but most of all because they offend you, my God, Who are all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.
Amen
