Dear Parents from the Community of Saint John XXIII:
Welcome to the curent Catechetical year. Thank you for choosing the community of St. John XXIII to assist you with the faith formation of your children. It is a blessing for us, to serve the Our Lord Jesus Christ in the sacramental blessing he gave you as parents to to be the primary educators of your child and raise your child in the faith. While you may be coming from surrounding parishes, we welcome you and endeavor to continue to serve the Catholic Community at large
Parish Mission:
At St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, Fontana, our mission is to foster a vibrant community of faith love, and service. We strive to live out the teachings of Christ through worship, education and outreach, welcoming all individuals to grow spiritually and connect with one another. Together, we seek to serve our neighbors and share the joy of the Gospel, creating a nurturing environmet for all.
Religious Education mission Statement:
The St. John XXIII Catholic Parish Religious Education ministry seeks to nourish the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all the families and persons, who seek assistance with preparation for the sacraments. It is through the words commanded by Christ himself, the apostolic statements and the mission of the Holy church to offer assistance and be a resource to families to exercise their duty as primary educators of their children. It is with joy we the endeavor to foster inspiration for their spiritual growth through formation, to have an encounter with Christ and live an authentic the Christian life-style
In this journey of Faith, we will be working together. Remembering always that you the Parents are the first Catechists of your children. Therefore, parent involvement and continued instruction in the home are key to conducting a productive catechesis program.
Thank you in advance for the dedication, time, and attention you will be giving to your children. They will be forming their conscience to be children of God, disciples, and apostles of Jesus this in turn must be fostered in the home. God will reward you for all that you do for your children to be good Christians and excellent citizens.
