From the Office of
Catechetical Ministry
Dear Parents from the Community of Saint John XXIII:
Welcome to this Catechetical year 2025-2026. Thank you for the trust you have placed in the community of St. John XXIII to assist you with the faith formation of your children. It is a blessing for us, to serve you. While you may be coming from surrounding parishes, we welcome you and endeavor to continue to serve the Catholic Community at large
Let us remember our Parish Mission:
We, the people of Saint John, are a multi-ethnic Roman Catholic parish formed from the union of the Church of Resurrection, Fontana, and St. Thomas More, Rialto. We seek to nourish the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all families and people so that they can rejoice in the love of God in this life and in the life to come. We endeavor to do this by fostering: an authentic Christian Stewardship, the Christian education of our youth and adults through Resurrection Academy and other programs, outreach to the poor and needy, and the celebration of the Sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist.
In this journey of Faith, we will be working together. Remembering always that you the Parents are the first Catechists of your children. Therefore, parent involvement and continued instruction in the home are key to conducting a productive catechesis program.
Thank you in advance for the dedication, time, and attention you will be giving to your children. They will be forming their conscience to be children of God, disciples, and apostles of Jesus. God will reward you for all that you do for your children to be good Christians and excellent citizens.
