Newton's Law of Motion

Procedure:

Newton's Forces Lab directions for collisions

Materials:

4 meter sticks taped to the floor to form a track

5 small marbles

2 large marbles

Student prior knowledge: Student are able to read the meter sticks.

Applications to Everyday Life:

First Law: After we make salad, we let it sit and when we use a fork to mix the salad every ingredients in the salad bowl start moving, here it is the external force our hand with fork is the force that mixes the salad, and when we stop mixing the salad will be in rest and not mixing by itself.

Second Law: When I throw a ball towards my friend. The ball accelerate in the direction of my friend standing and the unbalanced force which is my hand acts upon it.

Third Law: When I squeeze the toothpaste, the reaction is the paste is coming out of the tube.
