Welcome to the RUSH team.
We have a proud heritage, having started as a family business with our first salon in Wimbledon in 1993. Since then, the business has grown and, under private equity control, expanded rapidly. We bought our business back in 2019 and our plans for how we wanted to develop the business were put on hold as we all tried to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. As we look to the future, it's important we understand the type of business that we want to be.
We want to evolve our business so that its in good shape and successful for the next part of our journey. We want to be a modern, dynamic and high performing business that is trusted by our clients and by all of us who choose to work here.
To help us achieve this, we've developed three simple business priorities:
Our 1st priority is all about our teams and making Rush a great place to work. This is important because we want you to love being part of the team, to be successful and to feel fulfilled and energised to contribute to the success of the business. We'll achieve this by providing strong leadership and delivering our plan, which was shared with our team and will be shared with you at induction.
Our 2nd priority is all about our clients and giving them a great experience. This is important because we want our clients to love us, to recommend us and to come back time and time again so we have a strong reputation and strong revenue. We'll achieve this by strengthening our brand and by improving the service and care we give our clients.
And our 3rd priority is all about our business and making it fit for the future. This is important because we want our business to be financially successful. We'll achieve this by managing our costs whilst still investing in the things that are important, by having our people accountable for their work and having the right people with the right skills in the right place by ensuring our ways of working do what we need them to do so that we are organised, efficient and more dynamic.
By focussing on these three business priorities and harnessing the energy and commitment of everyone in the team, we have a bright and strong future ahead of us. We're hugely excited about this journey and hop that you feel inspired to be part of it. We'll keep you updated on what we're doing to deliver our plan and priorities.

If there's a topic we've not covered that you need help with, please ask your manager.
Your team handbook is sectioned out into key topics such as Family Friendly Policies, Time Off Policies, Health & Wellness Policies, Onboarding Policies, etc. within each section you'll find a detailed list of all our policies relating to that topic. You can click on any topic to learn more - the larger topics are split into a handy Q&A style so you can easily read the bits that are relevant to you.
