Where we suspect gross misconduct, we may need to suspend you on full pay pending our investigation and disciplinary process. We will only suspend you if there is no other alternative option open to us at the time.
Suspension doesn't imply guilt, it is a precaution. If we find no offence has been committed, your suspension will not prejudice your record.
Any suspension will be as brief as possible and reviewed at every step of the process.
We might also use suspension in the following circumstances:
medical reasons, for example if we believe you are unfit for work
to mitigate risk to a new or expectant mother
