We want you to be the best version of you, so we're committed to your training during your time with us. We have our own academy and can also access external training in a wide range of skill sets.
We have a range of training delivered over a variety of methods, such as:
The RUSH Way
Management training
Creative training
Business training
Services training
HR training
For our salon based teams, we have a Career Pathways Framework that clearly identifies any skills and training required for you to get to the next level of your career.
To some degree that depends on your role. Everyone spends at least half a day on The RUSH Way training when they start (stylists spend 3 days on this). If you are joining us with a view to an apprenticeship, our academy team will assess you and decide on the most appropriate level of training. We'll also explore training requirements with you at management 1-2-1s and via your Employee Progression Checklist, and of course, you are always free to approach your Area Manager (if you're in a salon) or your manager (if you're at head office) to request specific training you feel would benefit you, including requesting additional days at our academy.
Your Area Manager (if salon based) or your manager (if head office based) will consider your request carefully, taking into account costs involved, time incurred and relevance to your current and future roles. It's likely we'll ask you to sign a training costs agreement before we invest in training for you, but we'll always discuss this with you first.
Yes, our HR team keep records of all training you've been on. Depending on the training, we may also ask you for feedback on how beneficial the training has been to you.
If you'd like us to consider supporting you in further training, please use this form to tell us more about what training you would like, how it will benefit your personal development and how it might benefit RUSH.
