Who are the Second Fruits of the Harvest? Rev. 7:9
When God Reaps
Understanding the Second Fruits of the Harvest as it was shown to John the Revelator.
Prayer Thought:
Accept the Word of God as it reads
Those who engage in the work of God's cause today will meet just such trials as Paul endured in his work. By the same boastful and deceptive work Satan will seek to draw converts from the faith. Theories will be brought in that it will not be wise for us to handle. Satan is a cunning worker, and he will bring in subtle fallacies to darken and confuse the mind and root out the doctrines of salvation. Those who do not accept the Word of God just as it reads, will be snared in his trap. {2SM 52.2}
PURPOSE - To reveal the truth concerning the Second Fruits of the harvest after the Purification of the SDA Church, during the Loud Cry of the 3rd Angel’s message.
INTRODUCTION:
Focus Question: Who are the Second Fruits of the Harvest, and what is their role in God’s final work of salvation?
Key Theme: The Second Fruits symbolize the inclusive and global nature of God's redemptive plan, demonstrating His grace to all nations, tribes, peoples, and languages.
The Second Fruits: A Multitude Beyond Number
Reflect on the inclusive nature of God’s harvest, as seen in Revelation 7:9.
REV. 7:9-12
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and [about] the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, [be] unto our God forever and ever. Amen.
A foretaste of heavenly things
Let none think, because they cannot
explain the meaning of every
symbol in the Revelation, that it is
useless for them to search this book
in an effort to know the meaning
of the truth it contains. The One who revealed these mysteries to John will give to the diligent searcher for truth a foretaste of heavenly things. Those whose hearts are open to the reception of truth will be enabled to understand its teachings, and will be granted the blessing promised to those who "hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein." {AA 584.2}
Enlightened not by worldly advisers... But by His Spirit.
The Lord calls upon you . . . to look at these things with eyes enlightened not by worldly advisers, but by His Spirit. Take the Word as it reads. . . .
Place yourself where the riches of the glory of heaven shall shine before you and behind you and on every side of you, because you are all light in the Lord.--Letter 110, Aug. 8, 1899, to a woman of means. {UL 234.6}

Rev. 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
Rev. 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; (denoting victory over the blowing of the wind).
Contrast between the 144,000 and the Great Multitude
Contrast with the First Fruits (Rev. 7:1-8), the sealed 144,000 representing spiritual Israel.
The Second Fruits represent the global harvest from every nation and tongue.
Key Characteristics:
A great multitude beyond numbering.
Diverse in ethnicity, language, and culture.
Clothed in white robes, symbolizing Christ’s righteousness (cf. Rev. 19:8).
Holding palms, a sign of victory and peace (cf. John 12:13).
Contrast between the 144,000 and the Great Multitude
John heard the number 144,000 – v. 4
They came from all tribes of Israel – v. 4
They will be sealed before the blowing of the wind – vs. 1-3
They had been delineated into tribes of the children of Israel.
In scripture the 144,000 appear under this designation twice – Rev. 7 and Rev. 14
A Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Rev. 14:1
144,000 mentioned as the first fruits – Rev. 14:4
The use of NUMBER in Rev. 7:4
ἀριθμός
arithmos
ar-ith-mos'
From G142; a number (as reckoned up): - number.
Additionally, counted, total number.
John heard the number After hearing the number and delineating 144,000 John saw the great multitude, no man could number – v. 9
They came from all nations, and kindred, and people, and tongues – v.9
They experience this great tribulation (during the blowing of the wind). Noted: “After” vs. 1-8
They were not from the tribe of Israel.
Not mentioned in Rev. 14 - GM
The great multitude stood before the throne, and before the Lamb , clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. Rev. 7:9
The great multitude must the second, for it was mentioned after the delineation of 144,000 into 12 (twelve) tribes. Rev. 7:9
πολύς, πολλός
polus polos
pol-oos'
Including the forms from the alternate “pollos”; (singular) much (in any respect) or (plural) many; neuter (singular) as adverb largely; neuter (plural) as adverb or noun often, mostly, largely: - abundant, + altogether, common, + far (passed, spent), (+ be of a) great (age, deal, -ly, while), long, many, much, oft (-en [-times]), plenteous, sore, straitly.
ὄχλος
ochlos
okh'-los
From a derivative of G2192 (meaning a vehicle); a throng (as borne along); by implication the rabble; by extension a class of people; figuratively a riot: - company, multitude, number (of people), people, press.
Why is it necessary for the servants of God to be sealed before the blowing of the wind?
Note:
After John saw the two beast described in Rev. 13 (Second Beast - The image of the beast- Sunday Law imposed by the 2Horned Lamb-like Beast), he looked, and lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Rev. 14:1.
And on verses 6-12 mentioned messages for whom?
Therefore, the 144,000 will have to be sealed as there preparation for the Loud Cry.
A Great Harvest of the earth
Rev. 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Who are they? This is a description of those people who will be garnered during the second fruit harvest as the result of the work done by the special servants of God who were sealed and those who stood on Mt. Sion with the Lamb. Is it not amazing brethren? God prepares His servants (sealed) to be an instrument to the great harvest.
A SMALL NUMBER SEALED and SAVED from Living SDA !!
IT. 608-609 “In the last vision given me I was shown the startling fact that but a small portion of those who profess the Truth will be sanctified by it and be saved…”
5T.213-214
“Not all who profess to keep the Sabbath will be sealed. There are many even among those who teach the truth to others who will not receive the seal of God in their foreheads…..”
This “small portion” is the literal, living 144,000.
