I chose this course because I am interested in the advancement of artificial intelligence. Before taking this course, one difficulty I often faced was expressing my thoughts fluently. At first, I viewed AI as a helpful tool for improving various English skills, such as writing accuracy and grammatical correctness. Even before this course, I found it convenient to combine technology with language learning. I was particularly curious about using AI for language learning because it offered me an opportunity to make use of my creativity.
In my project, AI mainly served as a tool for assistance and refinement. I used AI to generate images, but at first I could not obtain the results I wanted because my prompts were not clear enough. The human element of my project was reflected in the topics and images I selected. Although the images were generated by AI, I incorporated my own ideas to ensure that the final product was not entirely AI-generated. Rather than simply accepting the AI's output, I combined my creativity with AI's capabilities. I evaluated the AI-generated results by comparing them with my original prompts.
These projects successfully blended human creativity with advanced AI technology. By embedding Taiwanese culture into chatbots, designing innovative workflows for the Kebbi Robot, and using anime-style music for GAI concepts, we shifted students from passive learning to critical, active participation that captured user interest and simplified complex ideas.
Compared with traditional language learning, this project encouraged me to think more critically and participate more actively in the learning process. The most innovative aspect of my project was applying my creativity to the design of the Kebbi Robot. The most practical value of this project is its potential contribution to tourism development. In a real classroom setting, this project could be used to experiment with and evaluate the Kebbi Robot. For self-directed learning, students could use this project to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of their workflows. This project may be especially useful for beginners because they may find workflow design both engaging and educational.
At the beginning of the semester, I thought AI was mainly useful for academic purposes. However, I now believe that it can be valuable in many different situations. My biggest "Aha!" moment occurred when I discovered an error in my workflow. I realized that I learn most effectively when I carefully analyze and improve my own work. Through this project, I learned that working with AI does not mean being replaced by technology. Instead, it involves combining human intelligence with the capabilities of AI. One limitation of AI is that it requires prompts to be precise and well-structured in order to produce satisfactory results. Students should also be careful not to become overly dependent on it. In the future, I plan to continue exploring the potential of AI while further developing my own abilities.
