My Works
COVER LETTER
Writing this cover letter is an opportunity for me to sharpen my ability to present myself clearly and professionally, which is essential for future job applications. In addition, I see this project as a chance to further explore the use of AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance my writing.
In this cover letter, I aimed to align my experience in accounting and club management with the position’s requirements. By combining traditional writing with chatgpt, I was able to improve both the quality and efficiency of my work.
During the process, I experienced the convenience of combining AI tools with traditional writing for the first time. However, I realized that without a proper prompt, it is difficult to achieve the outcome I expected. By working on this cover letter, I became more aware of the importance of effective prompting.
Ai assistant is a common sight in today's world. It's ability to provide automatous service without actual human is not only time saving but also money saving. In this project, we created a ai chatbot to provide introduction of Hakka Culture and it's connection with Beipu. On top of that, delicacies and travel tips.
During the preparation of the materials, we divided the knowledge into three parts: Categories, Questions, and Knowledge (the site). This allowed us to organize our thoughts more effectively. After the bot was completed, we tested it with both given and new information to see if there were any errors. The test went perfectly and even exceeded our expectations.
The best part of this group project is that I get to hear different opinions. By doing so, I can easily correct both my own and others’ errors.
SDGs X Taiwanese Culture
Color Recognition
Kebbi Robots
Growing up, technology has played a major part in our education. With the help of Ai robots like Kebbi, it allows student to learn by interacting with the robot without the present of teachers.
At the beginning, I was having trouble picking a Taiwanese festival for the project. So, instead of scratching my head, I asked Chatgpt for a suggestion, it recommended Matsu, a sea goddess in Taiwanese belief. After a quick research on Matsu, I started working on the coding of the bot. The coding itself wasn't hard at all, as it was similar to "Scratch". The more challenging part is to connect Matsu with the 17 goals of SDGs.
The color recognition project touched on the surface of machine learning in my opinion. The learning itself was done by a third-party website and then upload the file into the coding section. Again, the coding itself was fairly easy with step by step instruction from the teacher. My biggest challenge is to design interesting reactions for the bot, I wasn't able to meet my expectation within the class, which is a bit disappointing.
Kebbi Robot has showed me different ways to approach teaching. Its ability to interact through its sensors allows teachers to design even more complex and engaging learning activities that respond to students' interaction in real time.
Suno Ai music video
AI in music production was definitely beyond my expectations. However, discovering SUNO AI opened my eyes to how artificial intelligence can compose, arrange, and even produce entire songs with impressive creativity and speed.
For my project, I referenced the song "Poker Face" for the lyrics and let SUNO improvise the music with minimal prompts. The result was mind-blowing—I had no idea AI could generate music at such a high level.
That said, I struggled with generating suitable AI images for the music video. I believe the main challenge was not the tool itself, but my lack of a clear vision. In this case, I’d say the real limitation of AI is often the user.
Guided Reading: Ai in ESL Teaching and Learning
Artificial intelligence has rapidly transformed various aspects of education, including language learning and research. In our group project, we explored how ChatGPT can be used to promote research competency among EFL undergraduates. The ability to ask clear, layered, and purposeful questions is not only essential for using AI effectively but also for developing critical thinking, self-directed learning skills, and metacognitive awareness.
Using Felo AI, we created a mind map to outline the different layers of the research paper. Throughout the project, we analyzed how students interacted with ChatGPT—students with high metacognitive awareness (MA) used it more critically and strategically, while those with low MA tended to rely on it for surface-level tasks.
Looking back on the project, one of my main challenges was my limited understanding of the concept of metacognition. Although I had a vague idea of what it meant, I struggled to clearly articulate it. In terms of our presentation, our biggest issue was opening with the background of the paper. In hindsight, it would have been more effective to begin with a clear explanation of metacognition, as it was central to the study.
