Background Motivation

Nowadays, artificial intelligence is a significant topic. Therefore, I am interested in this course and look forward to seeing what AI can do and how to use it to help me complete tasks. By understanding and leveraging AI technologies, I hope to enhance my problem-solving skills, increase efficiency in my work, and contribute to innovative solutions in my area of expertise.

Implication

We learned about many AI tools and websites to help us create various projects. For instance, ChatGPT, ChatPDF, Playground AI, Capcut, Kebbi, and Suno have all helped me work more efficiently. AI is something we should understand and utilize, as it encompasses numerous topics. For example, the ethics of AI, its impact on the job market, and the development of safe AI systems are all important areas to consider.

Description

We used these tools to create various projects, such as cover letters, digital stories, Kebbi storytelling, and music videos. For the picture storybook project, we used ChatGPT to write the story and Playground AI to create the illustrations. In the Kebbi storytelling project, ChatGPT helped us organize the storyline, while Kebbi was used to narrate the story. Additionally, we used Suno to generate music based on prompts and Capcut to produce the final video.

Innovation

The innovation in these projects lies in using AI to bring my ideas and thoughts to life. If you are creative and full of ideas, AI can help you realize them effortlessly. By leveraging AI tools, you can transform abstract concepts into tangible creations with greater ease and efficiency. This not only enhances productivity but also opens up new possibilities for innovation and creative expression. Silent Struggles: Confronting Harassment and Gender Bias

I believe that every woman faces the problem of harassment and gender inequality.

When I was in high school, I needed to get my braces checked regularly. One day, as usual, I went to the clinic. The dentist checked my teeth and braces. However, he put his elbow on my chest and I felt uncomfortable. I did not stop him immediately because I was not sure if it was unintentional or intentional, and my mouth was still open with his hand inside.

When I became a freshman, I went to the osteopath regularly. He chatted with me one day and said, “Why don’t you have a boyfriend? Is it because you are too manly or 'bro' since you like animation? I think you are not beautiful, but your body is great. When I chased my wife, I spent lots of money. Blah blah blah.” I am not even his friend or close to him, and it was the only time my mom did not stay with me. He started asking uncomfortable questions and criticized me. What would you think if you were me? Moreover, when I told my mom about this and that I didn’t want to go to the osteopath anymore, she thought it was annoying because she needed to tell the osteopath to refund her money. I started to wonder if money is more important than her daughter. I felt so sad.

All of my girl friends have faced these kinds of problems at least once. These experiences underscore the urgent need for societal awareness and support to combat harassment and gender inequality, fostering a culture of respect and equality for all.

The Last Transmission: Lessons from a Lost Civilization

In the year 2050, amidst humanity's technological advancements, we received a message from a civilization beyond our own galaxy. Unexpectedly, it bore sorrowful news: this civilization faced imminent extinction. The inhabitants of this distant world resembled cats and surpassed humans in intelligence. Their quest for a new home among the stars led to a tragic error. Over the span of a century, they recklessly depleted their planet's resources. Ultimately, they could only send one warning to the cosmos: "Resources are as finite as time."

Reflection

With AI tools, I can effortlessly bring my ideas and thoughts to life. For instance, I enjoy soft music, so I used Suno AI to create a piece. However, AI has its drawbacks as well. As I mentioned earlier, the ethical use of AI is crucial. Are we genuinely learning and using AI to enhance our creativity, or are we simply relying on it and becoming complacent, letting AI do all the thinking for us? While AI can significantly boost productivity and innovation, it is essential to maintain a balance and ensure that we are actively engaged in the creative process. This way, we can use AI as a tool to augment our abilities rather than replace our critical thinking and creativity.
