With the background of being an English learner for more than twenty years, I am interested in becoming an English teacher in the future.
However, the technology is developing rapidly enough to be involved in education field. Therefore, being capable to involve AI tools into the class is a crucial ability, and that's why I chose to join this class.
By learning different AI tools, I can make language learning more interesting for all the learners, especially the younger ones with less concentration on traditional learning method such as using textbooks or flashcards.
My intention of attending this course was to enhance my ability in utilizing AI tools and gain various aspects of how AI tools impact our daily life.
Throughout the course, we are able to learn how to not only do research but also produce works with various AI tools. By using AI tools, we can notice some problems and doubts about its legality and moral issues.
It was a great honor that we could listen to a speech about how AI tools have had impacts on our lives in various aspects, and how the development of AI tools has changed and created some of the laws related.
This is the cover letter I made with the help of AI tools.
When I tried to make my own cover letter, it was a little challenging for me since I wasn't sure if I am writing properly enough or not.
However, it became less confusing when I tried to work with AI tools. I asked AI tool to revise what I wanted to put in the cover letter, and it gave me a more proper and more formal version.
SUNO is such a user-friendly GAI to use when you have some ideas to make music but without a solid background of music.
By giving the prompt, including what instruments you want and what genre you would like your song to be, SUNO will generate songs base on the prompt.
However, the prompt needs to be specific and detailed enough to let SUNO make the song closer to what you imagine in your head.
Therefore, using ChatGPT beforehand will be a great move when you are not sure about the elements you want in your song. You can ask ChatGPT to analyze the song you like as an example for you to get a more specific prompt to feed SUNO.
Working with Kebbi robot, a robot assistant which you can also put in your own prompts to create applications such as interactional games or storytelling. With sets of code blocks, you can design the moves of Kebbi Robot.
In this project, we built two different types of applications, including introducing festivals and recognizing colors. By practicing the use of code blocks, I learned that writing code to create something I like and imagine is less difficult and more interesting than I thought.
With the help of Kebbi robot, I believe that language learning could be more eye-catching and more creative than before. Thus, the learning process could be less stressful and the effect would be more significant.
Creating story with the concepts of SDGs was the main goal in this project. The story I made is a story about three girls celebrate their eighteenth birthday by doing something special, blood donation. Emphasizing the importance of supporting the hospital's life-saving work and the power of friendship.
I wrote a short version of the story and asked ChatGPT to help me extending the story into a longer and more completed version. Moreover, I asked ChatGPT to help me divide the story into ten different scenes.
I used a picture GAI tool to create the picture that could make my imaginations of the characters and the scenes come true. Then, I used a website called ElevenLab to create the audio of the story. After putting them together, I can get my very own picture story book.
Throughout the whole course, I had lots of opportunities to explore with AI tools, and these tools have empowered me to learn languages with new methods which I can learn languages smarter and with more confidence.
All the AI tools applications gave different perspectives to think about how I can teach English with a more eye-catching way to keep the children's attention and how I can build up their confidence when learning English with the use of AI tools.
Wanting to learn more knowledge about AI tools, I chose this class, and to my surprise, I got more than I expected.
Not only did I learn how to utilize various kinds of AI tools but also possess the knowledge about the existing moral doubts which are caused by the rapid development of AI tools and technology.
By holding these precious abilities, I believe that when I face the challenges whether in my study or my working career, I will know how to get help from AI tools, and with the knowledge about how to legally use these useful AI tools, I could use them wisely and correctly.
However, I hope that the related laws could adjust and adapt more efficiently since the development of the uses of AI tools is much faster than the pace of people reacting to it.
