Prayers

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived

by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried;

he descended into hell;

on the third day he rose again from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;

from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and life everlasting.

Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.

V. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created

R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. Amen.

Let us pray.

O God, Who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit,

grant that, by the gift of the same Spirit,

we may be always truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation.

Through the same Christ our Lord.

Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me.

Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exist in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exists in my life. You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots. Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of His children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the evil one himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone. Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with your Son and my Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.

I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all. You are my hope.

O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains.

Hear my plea.

Keep me, guide me, protect me, O Safe Refuge!

Amen.

St Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;

and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,

by the power of God

cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits

who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ,

I have no idea where I am going.

I do not see the road ahead of me.

I cannot know for certain where it will end.

Nor do I really know myself,

and that I think I am following Your will

does not mean I am actually doing so.

But I believe

the desire to please You

does in fact please You.

And I hope I have that desire to please You

in all that I am doing.

I hope I will never do anything

apart from that desire to please You.

And I know if I do this

You will lead me by the right path

though I may know nothing about it.

I will trust You always

though I may seem to be lost

and in the shadow of death.

The journey ahead of me may be difficult, demanding, depressing, draining, doubtful, daunting and dangerous,

open my eyes that I may see You,

open my ears that I may listen to You,

open my mind that I may understand You,

open my heart that I may love You,

so that in all things, I may love and serve You.

I entrust myself to Your holy will.

I will not fear for I believe

You are with me always until the end of time,

and You will never leave me to face my perils alone.

Lord Jesus, I trust in You.

Lord Jesus, I trust in You.

Lord Jesus, I place all my trust in You.
