Gospel Reflection 2019/2020

7TH SUNDAY OF EASTER

24 May 2020

[John 17: 1-11a]

Yes, every one of us will eventually die one day. None of us will live on forever. But that is not what our life is all about – just to be born to die!

Out of love,

1) God has created us for a higher purpose.

2) God has created us for heaven.

3) And God has created us to have a share in His Divine Life.

Through Holy Mother Church, God offers us FAITH.

FAITH opens to us ETERNAL LIFE.

“And ETERNAL LIFE is this:

to know the one true God,

and Jesus Christ whom He has sent.”

[John 17: 3]

Eternal life begins here and now: when we enter into a loving relationship with the Trinitarian God. The closer we are to God who is Life Himself, the more alive we become.

Let our fervent prayer be,

“Lord Jesus,

may we know You more dearly,

love You more intensely,

and follow You more closely.”
