DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY

2ND SUNDAY OF EASTER

The Second Sunday of Easter is dedicated to the Divine Mercy. It is a celebration of God’s abundant love and overflowing mercy for you, for me, and for the whole world. The Exsultet at Easter Vigil Mass wonderfully proclaimed the unfathomable mercy of God that “to ransom a slave, You (God) gave away Your Son!”

The great news for us this Sunday is:

“Neither death nor life,

nor angels, nor principalities,

nothing already in existence

and nothing still to come,

nor any power,

nor the heights nor the depths,

nor any created thing whatever,

will be able to come between us and the love of God…”

[Romans 8: 38-39, NJB]

May we rediscover and reexperience the Divine Mercy of God this weekend!!
