Teaching Activity ②

・11. October 2019, the Lecture Series "Introduction of the Legal System in the EU in Comparison with Japanese One " started at the Graduate School of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in Wuhan, China.(the Number of the participating students = 36)

・Prof. Dr. Noriyuki INOUE takes charge of this Lecture Series as a Visiting and Wenlan Scholar Chair Professor of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

・11. October 2019, the first Lecture was held from 8:00 to 11:30. Its theme is "Development and Legal System of the European Union".

・On this lecture, the historical background of the unified Europe, esp. the devastation in Europe after the two World Wars of the 20th Century, the necessity of the recovery after them, the contents of Schuman Declaration on the 9th May 1950, and the establishment and development from ECSC to the EU were all explained. After such explanation, the status quo of the EU, esp. what the EU is, which organs the EU has, which competence each organ was conferred by the fundamental Treaties of the EU and which principles the EU is based on, and what meanings of such principles were all spoken.

・After this lecture, the time of questions and answers between the participating students and Prof. Dr. INOUE was arranged, and as the result, the participating students could approximately understand the EU, esp. the background and the status quo of the EU.
