・On the 15. Jan. 2021 the Co-Students Seminar was held by online with EUTW, National Taiwan University. This Co-Seminar was held in order to increase the interest in the EU among undergraduate and graduate students and foster the students-exchange between Kobe University and NTU (No. of participating students of Kobe University; 16, of NTU; 70).
・This Seminar is held once a year, and this is the 4. time. Students of both University made their presentations and gave comments to each other, which could deepen their knowledge of the EU and international politics.
・After opening remarks of Prof. Su (Director General of European Union Centre in Taiwan) and Prof. Yoshii (Executive Vice President of Kobe University), Students Presentations started.
・In the Seminar of this year, seven groups made their presentations as follows:
Group 1: The Comparison of Germany and United Kingdom’s Policies on Refugees and the Status Quo (NTU)
Group 2: Legal Intolerance of LGBT in the EU (KU)
Group 3: Open-minded Nation: the Netherlands (NTU)
Group 4: A Struggle for the National Identity Concerning the Case of North Macedonia's Accession to the EU (KU)

・After all presentations of students, 4 participating and leading Professors; Prof. Su (NTU), Prof. INOUE (KU), Prof. YOSHII (KU) and Ms. Klicek (Fellow of Taiwan Fellowship Programme, MOFO) made comments to each presentations.
・Normally the Co-Seminar was operated and managed in NTU, Taiwan by visiting the participating members of Kobe University to Taipei. But the Co-Seminar on this year was held by online, because of COVID-19. Therefore the situation and atmosphere were different from those on the other years.
・As a result of this Co-Seminar, the friendship exchange of students of both Universities helps them understand how students from the other University perceive the EU in spite of holding by online. And the participating students of Kobe University understood how to communicate with students from abroad. It is a nice experiment for the students to improve their presentation skills and English debating skills.
・The presentation of Group 4 made by a Graduate Student of Prof. INOUE's seminar was chosen as the Best Presentation Award.
The above Pictures of this Workshop were taken in the classroom of Kobe University.
