08. Nov. 2019:the Seminar of the EU Law (30 hours) at the Faculty of Law, Kobe University, begins. (No. of participating students: 9)


・This Seminar is provided for the selected bachelor students of the Faculty of Law, Kobe University.

・On the 8th Nov., Orientation (2 hours) of this Seminar was held, esp., the contents and the schedule of this Seminar were explained. Some theme that should be selected by the students were offered in order to make presentations in English.

・The contents of this seminar are as follows (each theme 4 hours):

1 what the EU is; the EU as a unique system of the integration of the regional network of its member-states.

2 Legal basis of the EU: TEU, FTEU and the EU Charta of Fundamental Rights as basic treaties.

3 Governmental system of the EU.

4 The Basic values of the EU; Art. 2 of TEU.

5 Euro-skepticism and populism in the EU.

6 Brexit from the legal perspective.

・At the other time of this seminar (4 hours), Prof. Dr. INOUE guides the participating students for the presentations in the Workshop in Taipei, Taiwan, the theme is “Populism is Spreading”, and in Torun, Poland, the theme is " The Japanese Constitutional Review".

・The ability of the students to speak and make a presentation in English is enhancing. And also their hearing and communication in English is very progressive. They made good presentations in English and could understand the presentations of foreign students at both Workshop well.
