WEEK 3

MB8 and LST Double Up in the Top 3

The Master Boaters and Legends of the Splittin' Temple have both of their teams in the top three of the standings. MB8 is 2nd in both A and B, while LST is 3rd in both A and B. It's been a solid season for both of these franchises, where neither of them have even been swept. Kudos to Sadness and AnthonyDavis for assembling solid teams here.

DOW-B is Still Winless

In the still ongoing chronicles of the DOW B-Team, we take you to Week 3's B-Team matchup against MB8. DOW lost the first game by two caps, lost the second game by nine caps, then lost the third game by four caps, so in total DOW had a -15 cap diff this week. At least they've gone from an abysmal B-Team to just being a bad B-Team. Can they be the first B-Team to go winless, next week will determine that.

The Disappointment of Centra

I think no one expected LBT and DOW to be in the bottom four for both A-Team and B-Team, but here we are, and considering most of the community predicted them to be in the top four at least for A, it's a shock. It's been a trend that I've seen over the past few seasons, some notable examples being Ultralight Team (B) in S18 and Dark Side of the Ball (B) / Land Before Timers (A) last season. It always seems like a supposedly stacked B-Team or A-Team on the West Coast manages to miss the playoffs, and it's kind of weird. I don't know how to explain it, but if I wanted to make a video essay on one topic, it would be this. Stay tuned for video essays in the future.....

Free Agency is Just Around the Corner

This season, the NLTP CRC decided to have just one FA period in order to make things easier. That FA period will take place after the Week 4 games, which means that by Week 5, we'll see some additions and maybe some drastic changes to some teams, because in order to pick up an FA, you must also drop a player into the FA pool. Note that that's only for minors drops. It should be interesting to see if there are any actual minors drops, and if the CRC would be lenient regarding letting A-Team caliber FAs in.
