WEEK 2
WEEK 2
No Team Remains Undefeated...
It's only been two weeks but every team has lost at least one game this season, which is a great sign for parity, especially since last season was so top heavy. It's honestly really difficult to tell which teams are actual Nuper and Buper favorites, because every team has the potential to win games here. Teams from the bottom of the standings have gotten wins off of teams at the top of the standings, and even the losses have been close. The worst loss I've seen on A-Team was a nine-cap loss, which is pretty pedestrian compared to last season's worst loss, which was by 16 caps....twice, with two more 15 cap losses following right behind them. So yeah, good parity.
...But One Team Remains Winless
There's only one team that hasn't won a single game this season, and that's DOW's B-Team. It wasn't really that much of a surprise, looking at the roster and the schedule, but this week saw the B-Teamers win a few halves this time. They won two halves and tied another one out of the six halves they played against GES, so this is a team that can definitely sneak a win or two in this season. I definitely don't think they'll remain winless for the entire season, but now I'm slightly worried about whether they can actually win a week. I really don't want to play next season under the name "SmallyisaGod".
Smally Does Save the Day for DOW Though
Smally had to come in for a laggy Carp in G2H2 with seven minutes to go and down by one cap on aggregate, and proceeded to play perfectly. His first cap tied the game, and then in the last minute he saved a game-winning cap from GES and took the flag and bombed across the map and got his second cap, which ended up winning the game for DOW. Smally good, maybe he actually is a god.
Homie is a Defensive Stud
I mean this seems pretty obvious, but it bears repeating. After going for anti's entire budget, Homie has led the league in returns and tags two weeks in a row, and has also gotten the 10 DGASP two times in a row. I can't believe he still managed to go to anti-re's team, insane.
One of the CRC Members is Going Through Something
I don't know if anyone really checks the TPL ticker, but there have been some weird headlines week after week. First it was about someone living in a place of despair that they called their home, then it was about being eternally alone, and as I'm writing this a new quote has emerged, and it says that this person is broken. I have no idea what's going on with this CRC member, but damn it's slightly unsettling, but also I'm morbidly curious as to where this ends up going. Until next week then.
