The Neilston Men's Group is a local community group offering support and friendship to local men in our wee village in East Renfrewshire.
Our main objective is to facilitate the continued wellbeing of men living in the Neilston area.
As an institution, we offer a space for men to come together, in a safe and welcoming environment, to engage in a range of activities that promote social interaction and help to combat loneliness and poor mental health. Indirectly, we provide partners and family a few hours respite a week that lets them relax without worrying about their loved one.
Through constructive, topical, and humorous conversation, we hope to engender an environment in which the men of Neilston can thrive.
Where affordable, our organization plans to provide activities in off-site locations. Such places of interest will be chosen by consensus between members and the board. The excursions will be undertaken in order to necessitate the importance of bonding between men in the Neilston area, and to provide the opportunity for friendships to flourish between members.
We're currently asking all members to contribute the sum of £10 per month to satisfy conditions imposed by our grant-assisted funding sources. We may also ask for additional contributions to fund special events that our grant-assisted funding sources won't subsidize.
A list of proposed venues and activities is listed on our Activities page, and you'll find reports on past visits in the menu for that page.
